Farmer Boy’s

The Farmers Boys we went to was in Buena Park. This is a take out or sit down restaurant. (we chose to sit down since it was my moms birthday!)  This place is so good.  You have to go up and order at the counter and then you go and sit down and wait and they will bring you your food.  (That way you do not have to wait to pay) and while waiting for your food you may want to take a look at the wall. You will see  things from the “farm”.  Another thing you may hear is the dings of a job well done. They have a bell where you would ring if they did a good job. (most of the time they will yell thank you).

Ok now the service, They are very fast and very nice. They are super super fast. It takes maybe  10-15 Minutes.  They are a very clean and well lit.

And then there is the food. (que dramatic music) I must say they are reasonably priced. And they have good portions. The chicken is always moist and the gravy is just so (whats the word….. Fanta..no..amaz…no hummmm) Yummy (yeah lets go with yummy). The gravy is a mixture of gravy (I don’t know whats in it) and some sausage. It is so so so good. Then there is the steak…..  so good it is very juicy.

What we had:

Country Fried Chicken & Gravy Bowl
Hash Browns, Eggs, Chicken Strips, Sausage Gravy

Chili & Cheese Omelet

Eggs, Chili, American Cheese, White Bread
,Whipped, Margarine Spread, Tropical Fruit, Tomato Slices, Hash Browns, Wheat Bread, Sourdough Bread, Rye Bread

A medium drink and our number

A recipe I found on the wall

The bell everyone rings when they did a good job.

Ps. I have a Facebook so if you can please go and check it out and click the like button. :D have a good day.

Johnny Reb's

The other day my mom and I went to a restaurant called Johnny Rebs (there logo is “ Put some south in your mouth”)  You know you are in for some good food when you walk in and there is peanut shells on the floor. That’s right they give you some peanuts in a little basket (don’t eat to many you will fill up on them and the drink you are drinking) This place is a very casual and comfortable place. This place has character because they have a moose head on the wall and if you look around you will find other little knick knacks.

The Food, what can I say for the food…… how about Amazing! They are a little pricey but you get the amount of food for the price. It is so flavorful and the ribs are not just bone they have a good amount of meat on them. And the catfish they have is very good and flavorful. I know when I drive   by my mouth always waters from the amazing smell coming from the restaurant.

The Service, The waiters and waitresses are very friendly and very prompt. They bring your food fast and very hot. They are very prompt. When you are done and ready to pay the bill you can either go up and pay or you can sit and wait for the server.  But either way they get you done fast. And even when they are crowded it is pretty fast.

What we had:

Combo BBQ: You seclect 2 meats (same or different) Tri Tip, Country Fried Chicken and our two fixin’s (Deep fired Mac N Cheese and Mashed Potatoes and gravy) and a biscuit. 23.00

\

They have Fried Pickles that is dill pickles rolled in cornmeal  (half an order: 4.75 full order is 6.00)

The Peanuts at the tables.

I would refer this to anyone.

I have a Facebook page come and check it out and "like" it. Have a great day :D

The Rain Forest Café

Today my mom and I went to Downtown Disney to The Rainforestcafé. It was early in the morning
This is the entrance to the dining area
so it want very crowded. The first thing you see when you walk in is that you are in the rainforest under the trees. There are snakes in the tree and there are huge butterflies on them. But the biggest thing that will most likely catch your eye would be the salt water fish tanks with its huge variety of fish. There are two that I saw. One that greets you that surrounds you and one that in in a wall (I personally love the fish tanks) There is a good chance that you would be caught in a thunderstorm. (The lights will go on and off like lightning and there is “thunder”) There is a bar that you sit on animal leg.

Ok let’s get down to business. The Ambiance is very laid back and fun. You do not feel rushed. And to top it off you get the sounds of the rainforest. You get the feeling that you can relax and take a break from either a day at Disneyland or a quick break from Down Town Disney .

Now, for the service.  The Servers are very friendly. The manager came to each and every table that I saw and asked if there was anything we needed. You get your food relatively fast (ours came out in like 10-15 Minutes) And they were very good at filling up our drinks.

Here is the best part, the food. The food we had was very good I had the Cha Cha’s wild waffles (they say waffles but it is really waffle)  It was very good and so filling. They had a flavor that  tingled your taste buds.  It came with 2 strips of bacon or 2 sausage links (I got the bacon) and strawberries and bananas (but I asked for all bananas because I do not like strawberries) but having all of them together was just the best. And my mom had the Cisco and Pancho which comes with a steak and some eggs and some breakfast potatoes ( I can not give you much input on this because I tried it one time and it wasn’t for me.)

What we had and what the restaurant looked like:

Cha Cha's Wild Waffle - freshly made Belgian waffle served with fresh strawberries, bananas and maple syrup and a choice of bacon or sausage $9.99

Cisco and Pancho - A flat iron steak broiled to order. Served with scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes. $14.99

This is one of the fish tanks.

Extra add on!! (Get them to validate your parking ticket from Downtown Disney for an extra 2 hours for free)

The Pink Phone Foodie is now on Facebook. --> come and check it out. (click Here -> My Facebook )
