The Waterfront Café

On 7-25-13 My mom, Grandma and I went to this restaurant called the Waterfront Café. This restaurant has been around forever it seems. I must say as many years as they have been open the food quality has not gone down. This is a classic diner that has been overrun with little porcelain pigs. Although it is a bit much they are rather cute in my book.

The service: The service here is good, Fast and very nice. We were waited on by 2 servers. The man was very nice. The woman she was very sweet and they both were very attentive. They never let our glasses empty.

The atmosphere:  This is a very classic dinner as of the way it is decorated. They have the (older style colors) pink and teal colors. Everything is dated (*so I guess you can say you are taking a trip back to the 80’s.

The food: The food here is scattered from American to Italian. All very good and flavorful. I had the chicken alfredo and it had chicken, broccoli, carrots and yummy noodles. Although I wish there was more sauce. My mom had the Fried chicken and she said it was very good. (the only thing about her food was the green beans looked and tasted like they were frozen or canned.) And my grandma had the shrimp scampi she said that it was good. She wouldn’t change anything.

What we had: (sorry they look messed up.... I was trying to play with the pics :D )

Miyako

The other day my mom and I went to a Sushi restaurant named Miyako. It is a place that has been in the little strip mall forever. We were regulars there a few years ago but then we stopped when they changed hands and then they changed hands again. This is the first time we’ve been back in years.
The establishment is very clean and casual. They keep it very clean. I was very impressed. And with the steady flow of people I was surprised how nice it was in this restaurant. The music was not loud at all and it is just a cute little place to eat.
The service, out waitress was very nice and super fast. Every time your drink was low she was there to fill it up. As stated above the food came out super quick. They were very accommodating.
The Food, The sushi here was amazing. If you bite in to a roll they all didn’t taste the same and they all had a god flavor. The crunch roll I had was so amazing, to me it was the best one I have ever had.

I have to say that I was impressed because we ordered 7 rolls for about $52. I think it is an amazing place to eat.

What we had:

The complimentary miso soup

The complimentary salad

Spicy tuna

Spicy Crispy
Baked Lobster

Crunch Roll

Miyako you would get 5 stars from me and a regular costumer.
