My
mom, Grandma ,Grandpa and I went to Philippe’s in L.A. This Original restaurant is cash-only (but there is a ATM on site), This
classic location is a 1908 sandwich legend that is in Chinatown, The food is
great big sandwiches (Beef Dip, Pork Dip, Ham Dip, Lamb Dip, Turkey Dip all
6.50)with your choice of side dishes (at Additional cost) (it is a party for
your taste buds) served by very nice ladies. The Drinks are served by can
except the lemonade and the tea. Their mustard is quite hot (it will clear your sinuses so don’t use to
much unless you like the heat), The decor is great with a old time feeling (which has not been
changed). It has sawdust on the floor and long community tables with stools to
sit on. It is good for family’s and very good for lunch. But you have to get
there early because there will most likely be a line. But it is worth the wait.
If you are in LA, you MUST
eat here at least once.
